Let us help you become pain and worry-free.

When it comes to your and your family’s health, we’re in this together.

You don’t have to live in pain, tackle infertility struggles, be ok with your elbow hurting with each golf swing, or worry about your baby alone. Our patients always say that Well Set feels like a family (with a lot of expertise about health and wellness).

We promise to give you the care and outcomes you deserve.

Do you feel like your providers dismiss your concerns or make your experience about what they think more than what you do? Have you seen a chiropractor who told you to come in multiple times per week for months to feel better? Have you taken medicine, had surgery, and yet still haven’t gotten the results you hoped to? We hear you.

Meet the professionals

No one combines holistic medicine and full-hearted care like our team does.

Well Set’s multidisciplinary team of chiropractic, acupuncture, massage therapy, and physical therapy experts care as much about your holistic health and wellness as you do. From sharing stories about our families and children, to taking spin classes with you during our lunch breaks, we’re all about helping, celebrating and motivating our community to reach their goals. Founder of Well Set and Chiropractor

jbuzek@wellsetdenver.com

Dr. B was born and raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania (about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh – what’s up Yinzers!?). While this is what he tells people, it’s not exactly true. He spent much of his early life traveling in the back of his dad’s conversion van to play hockey throughout the US and Canada. In high school, Dr. B played Junior A hockey in the USHL. He moved away from his family and friends to pursue his dream of playing college hockey. As a Junior hockey player, Dr. B (a self-proclaimed skinny, fast kid) learned how important chiropractic was to keep him skating and playing at a high-level.

Dr. B went on to play Division 1 college hockey, and after a difficult decision to end his hockey career, he was accepted to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

After graduating chiropractic school in February of 2010, Dr. B started his own practice in his hometown of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. In 2012, he moved from Pennsylvania to Denver and saw the sun for the first time ever. For his first 5 years in Denver, Dr. B built a successful practice at Washington Park Chiropractic. He started Well Set in 2017.

Some might say that Dr. B is obsessed with continuing education. He holds post-graduate certifications in Sports (CCSP), Pediatrics (CACCP), and Prenatal (Webster) chiropractic.

We won’t bore you with all of the self-promoting details, but these certifications are pretty cool (and seriously advanced), and it’s rare (i.e., Dr. B is only 1 of two chiropractors in Denver with this line up) that a chiropractor would have them all. So, long story short, be sure to check them out at the links provided.

Dr. B uses a variety of soft tissue techniques and holds numerous certifications in these methods (e.g., IASTM/Graston, FAKTR, Rocktape, Functional Movement Taping).

When it comes to helping out his patients, Dr. B is especially good with active families (pregnant moms, dads, infants, and youth athletes), Weekend Warriors, and professional and college athletes. Dr. B has been a University team chiropractor in the past, and for the last few years he’s worked with NFL players and combine athletes to get them ready to perform at their highest potential.

With all joking aside, Dr. B’s goal with all of his patients is to get them feeling better and doing more within their first few visits. He wants to keep his patients active and to get them to maintenance care as soon as possible. To do this, he loves working with other medical providers to ensure that everyone is getting treatments that target the cause(s) of their discomfort by following a path of least invasiveness.

Rapid Fire Q&A:

What have been your career highlights (so far)?

Every time a pregnant mom’s breech baby flips after using the Webster Technique, finding early cancer and serious health issues and getting patients to the medical professionals they need to see as early as possible, adjusting infants for the first time, and watching some patients win a Super Bowl.

What’s your goal in life?

Be a supportive, fun-loving husband, dad, colleague, and friend. Play more golf. Change the way people (and the medical profession) think about their chiropractors … unless you love us because that’s rad, and I don’t want to change that.

Dr. Chase Stanker

Chiropractor

chase@wellsetdenver.com

Dr. Chase was born and raised just outside of Denver, CO. Growing up he was very active in sports playing football, baseball and basketball. As a kid he specifically remembers loving the TV show House, which piqued his interest in the human body and medicine. Throughout his middle school and high school years he loved his science classes, and specifically remembers enjoying the dissection labs. It was these experiences that led him to pursue healthcare in undergrad.

In his undergraduate years, he went to The University of Colorado Boulder (Sko Buffs!) where he majored in integrative physiology. He focused on exercise science, human biomechanics, and anatomy and was exposed to different specialties of medicine. He formed a passion for physical medicine because he agreed that not all physical ailments need to be treated using prescription drugs or surgeries.

After finishing his undergraduate degree, he went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. At Palmer Florida, he found another passion, in the form of golf. Playing golf year round and enjoying the Florida sunshine was a great change from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, but after enduring 2 hurricanes, Dr. Chase decided it was time to move back west.

In his professional career, Dr. Chase has a wide array of experience ranging from spinal biomechanical correction techniques, to wellness and preventative chiropractic. He is level 1 Titleist Performance Institute certified, Webster (prenatal) certified, and fluent in flexion/distraction and extremity adjusting. Dr. Chase has treated patients throughout the whole life span—from infants to geriatric patients.

Katie Hale, DIPL, OM., LAC.

Acupuncturist and Holistic Medicine Practitioner

katie@truenorthdenver.com

Katie is a Colorado Native raised in Evergreen (Aka E-Town to the locals). Whoop! She spent most of her childhood outdoors with her active brothers and father - you could say she knows how to hang with the boys. Every winter you'd find her on the slopes of Vail where her parents would ship her every weekend (her Dad was one of the first ski instructors at Vail)! She loves the mountains of Colorado with all her heart.

Fast forward to undergrad, when Katie received a double major in Speech Pathology and Audiology and then after college when Katie found a passion for working with children and particularly those with special needs.

Fast forward a bit more, when Katie became inspired for a bright new path after finding that Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine helped her with her life long struggles with digestion. She had finally found a medicine that listened and actively made her feel better without the use of pharmaceuticals ... what a concept! Katie took a big leap and went back to school. She graduated from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012 after completing an intense three-year accelerated program that included 2,850 hours of education with 1,000 hours of clinical experience.

Katie specializes in women's health, nutrition, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, mental health, internal medicine and digestion.

amandamillercmt@gmail.com

Amanda grew up outside of Philadelphia in Northampton, Pennsylvania (really close to Allentown – Billy Joel fans know). She grew up spending a lot of time with her family - always spending time together, cooking, laughing, and traveling. She was active in sports and dance and spent a lot of time outside around her rural childhood home.

After studying psychology at Moravian College and massage therapy at Health Options Institute, it was that same love of the outdoors that brought Amanda from Pennsylvania to Colorado. The 300+ days of sunshine each year was appealing, too. After taking a little time to settle into Denver life, Amanda decided to go back to school at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. While attending BCMT, she was drawn to prenatal work and Thai massage and loved the diversity it added to her practice. Upon graduating, she continued her studies in prenatal and post-partum work and went on to study Thai massage, yoga, and eastern healing arts in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Amanda has worked at massage therapy centers and high-end day spas, but really found her happy place when she worked at a chiropractic office, where she first met Dr.B. After almost 9 years at that office, she got an amazing opportunity to move to Aruba that she couldn’t pass up. She took a little break from doing massage full time and lived out her Tom Cruise “cocktails and dreams” moment by bartending in paradise (she makes a mean Bloody Mary, BTW). After two years of crafting boat drinks and fun in the sun, she came back to Denver and found her new home at Well Set.

Amanda has an east meets west approach to bodywork and integrates the two styles to ensure her clients get the best of both worlds. She has extensive experience in prenatal and post-partum work, along with non-invasive induction massage (which through pressure point work, aromatherapy, and traditional massage techniques can help safely and naturally jumpstart labor for expectant, full-term mommas-to-be). She loves practicing Thai massage (it’s like having yoga done to you!), and has a real passion for TMJ work, which is beneficial to everyone, but especially those who clench their jaw or suffer from headaches. Whether she’s teaching infant massage lessons to new parents and families or working on members of the active Denver community, Amanda is dedicated to her craft and puts her heart into her work.

Rapid Fire Q&A:

What have been your career highlights (so far)?

Every time I’m able to safely, naturally, and non-invasively jumpstart an expectant mother’s labor (the human body is so incredible!), preventing invasive surgical procedures through TMJ massage work, and teaching new parents and families how to love on and help their little ones through infant massage - it’s never too early to introduce massage, and teaching infant massage lessons is definitely the sweetest and most adorable part of my job.

Dr. Rachel Blessing, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

rachel@wellsetdenver.com

Rachel was raised in Connecticut in an artistic family and developed a love of the performing arts early on with trips to see Broadway musicals in the city. She tried her hand at soccer at one point but chose to retire her cleats around age five once the ball made repeated contact with her face. It was clear from that moment on that dance would be her chosen form of physical expression!

Rachel went on to study Dance Performance & Choreography in college, where she developed a love of kinesiology and anatomy through her coursework. Post-grad, she declared that she “had no interest in going back to school, ever”, began performing with a Boston-based professional dance company, and then promptly enrolled in the Doctoral program for PT at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell.

Throughout her time in graduate school, Rachel was fortunate to work as a student in a variety of settings from an acute care hospital to treating members of the Boston Ballet. Upon graduation she began her career in New York City treating orthopedic and pelvic health conditions.

After refusing to continue living in a concrete jungle with no access to skiing, Rachel’s partner convinced her to move across the country to Denver mid-pandemic (he can now be found exclusively on the slopes). Rachel was able to further expand her depth of knowledge by working at a pelvic health-specific clinic prior to starting at Well Set.

Rachel believes in tailoring her practice of care to each individual based on their unique anatomy, goals, and lifestyle. She loves to treat a variety of conditions but is especially passionate about helping new parents navigate the joys and challenges of postpartum life.

When she’s not in the clinic, you can find Rachel running in a park, trying out a new restaurant, or marveling at how the snow melts so quickly here.

What's your goal in life?

Erin Hallstrom, L.AC.

Acupuncturist And Holistic Medicine Practitioner

As a Nebraska native, Erin’s Midwestern roots shine through in her interactions with her patients. Erin earned her Bachelor’s degree from Hastings College, where she studied K-12 Physical Education and Coaching. Her fascination with the human body and optimizing its function led to her pursuing graduate studies in Physical Education Pedagogy and ultimately working as a personal trainer and certified nutrition coach.

Erin first encountered holistic medicine when she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and depression. She was introduced to a Chinese Medicine practitioner who helped her mind and body heal and, over time, she not only got healthy but she also fell in love with the healing power of acupuncture, Qi Gong, and Chinese herbs. It was at this time that Erin dedicated herself to the study and practice of acupuncture. She initially enrolled at Emperor’s College and ultimately graduated with her Master’s degree from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder.

Erin has successfully used acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to treat a wide variety of conditions with a comprehensive and compassionate meridian-based approach. She has a special interest in pain management, sports medicine, and dermatology. She is also a trained Synergy Facial Acupuncture and Michelle Gellis Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation practitioner.

Erin is nationally board certified and licensed by the State of Colorado. She is a recognized diplomate of Acupuncture and Herbology by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), is certified in Clean Needle Technique, and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Colorado.

When not focused on patient care, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors climbing (rock and ice), running, cross country skiing, and camping.

Rapid Fire Q&A:

What have been your career highlights (so far)?

Helping patients who have been living with debilitating pain get back to their “normal” lives. We tend to glaze over the importance of being able to do the day-to-day activities, so being able to witness the big and (seemingly) little milestones along the way is pure magic.
