Jessi is a Denver native who loves Colorado. She adores hiking, anything outside in the sun and photographing nature. At a young age, Jessi recognized the unlimited potential of human movement. She competed in gymnastics for 12 years and learned to be a pocket-sized ninja with incredible strength. In this way, she takes after one of her spirit animals, the ant, who is capable of (fun fact) carrying 20 times its own body weight! After she “retired” from competitive gymnastics she began focusing on healing the several injuries she sustained throughout the years. Fascinated with form and function, she sought to restore balance in her body. Injury recovery and physical well-being became her main focus.
Jessi entered Yoga Teacher Training at Samadhi Center for Yoga and Meditation in Denver in 2010. Jessi has been teaching yoga, meditation and dance including Belly Dancing, Hula Hooping, Creative Movement and Acro Yoga in the Denver area since 2011. She has been a certified Reiki Master since 2013. Jessi is completing her undergrad at MSU Denver, majoring in Integrative Health Care with a minor in Vocal Music Performance. She holds several certifications in healing and meditation techniques. Wanting to increase her capacity to work on and heal people’s bodies she pursued her lifelong passion and went to school for massage therapy.
In 2016 Jessi became a Licensed Massage Therapist from the Denver Integrative Massage School. With a passion for functional movement and stretching, she integrates these modalities into every session. Her clients range from professional NFL players to expecting mothers and everyone in between. She specializes in Sports, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, TMJ, Thai Yoga Massage, Trigger Point and Myofascial Release. Using intuitive techniques to release tension without causing discomfort is Jessi’s priority. She has a special knack for healing chronic pain, working with injuries and creating a sense of relaxation with every massage session.
She continues to hone her craft with continuing education in the health and wellness field. Throughout her personal wellness journey, Jessi has found that balancing body, mind and spirit are essential to true health, happiness and peace. She continues her breath work, yoga and meditation practice to stay healthy and balanced. She enjoys teaching her clients about healthy habits, stretching, and other fitness tools to improve their well-being and quality of life. In her spare time, Jessi loves to write and sing music. It is important to her to organize community events that help the less fortunate and feed the homeless.
What have been your career highlights (so far)?
The number one highlight of my career is positive feedback from my clients. They are able to resume physical activities they thought were unobtainable and their chronic pain was alleviated. That’s music to my ears.
Another highlight is working with NFL players. They seem like superhumans to us with their amazing strength and physical abilities! It’s a joy to be part of someone’s health journey and help them achieve their dreams by keeping them injury-free. Never a dull moment!
