Dear Well Set Patients,
I know this is not our typical form of communication, but I have a couple of larger practice updates to share with you that require a slightly lengthier medium. Thanks for taking a few minutes to read through!
As some of you may know, Dr. Hayley Nick had an unfortunate skiing accident this past weekend resulting in a serious knee injury. While Dr. Hayley is doing well and is expected to make a full recovery, she is currently unable to practice. We recognize that for some of you this news may have caused a shift in your appointments at the beginning of this week and we greatly appreciate your flexibility and understanding as our team worked to make sure that everyone could still be seen. Please know that there is immediate capacity and availability for all of Dr. Hayley’s clients to be treated at Well Set with the same great attention and care that we know you have come to expect; and we of course are wishing her a speedy and pain free recovery – we know the loss of a ski season (even one with terrible snow) is painful in and of itself.
This weekend’s events fast tracked some other important news about Dr. Hayley that I need to share with you all as well. Prior to her accident, Dr. Hayley had made the decision to leave Well Set in search of her next professional endeavor. While their timing closely coincided, the accident and her decision to leave are unrelated. Given her injury restrictions, her accident does unfortunately eliminate the remaining months she intended to practice with us before her planned departure. Hayley has been a dedicated, appreciated and beloved part of the Well Set community for over 2 years and she will be very much missed. While we are not aware of what Dr. Hayley’s next venture will be, in the spirit of appreciation we wish her great success and nothing but the best.
Upon Dr. Hayley sharing her decision to leave, I began the search for a new chiropractor to join our practice, which I also coincidentally intended to share with you all in the coming weeks. I am thrilled to take this opportunity to announce that after an extensive search, Dr. Chase Stanker will be our newest team member. With prior ties to our practice (he was one of our previous interns), Dr. Chase is a familiar face and brings with him years of experience in sports injury and prenatal chiropractic. While he was not slated to start with us until early next year, Dr. Chase has agreed to begin working with us sooner in light of Dr. Hayley’s injury to ensure that all of our patients are taken care of in a timely and thoughtful manner. He is available for appointments now and will be full time come January. I look forward to each of you getting to know Dr. Chase more in the coming months and I hope you will join me in welcoming him. I know that he will be a great addition to our community and provider to all of you.
As we look forward, I recognize that changes to your providers can be accompanied by questions or stress around scheduling and next steps. Our team is here and committed to answering any of those questions you might have as well as to ensure that your experience is what you know and love about our practice. I want to reiterate again that we have both the immediate and ongoing capacity to continue to serve your needs with our entire team of providers and we look forward to another great year of wellness and healing.
With gratitude,
Dr. Jace Buzek
